The two biggest misconceptions about staging are that it’s expensive and that it’s only for high-end homes. In a lot of cases, much of what the seller already has can be used to stage their home. During my consultations I provide instructions for homeowners on how to do the staging on their own, providing they have the time and physical capacity. The same basic principles apply to all homes on the market. It needs to be clean, well maintained with neutral décor, absent of clutter, and depersonalized. This project is a great example of a low cost staging solution, using what you have and how applying those basic principles makes a big difference.
