Homes in all price ranges benefit from staging. Here are some before and after photos of a home that was vacated then updated prior to being put on the market. After refinishing the hardwood floors, painting, and replacing the lighting throughout the house, the sellers saw the value of investing in some modest staging.

Dining Room
Using just a dining table, four chairs and a buffet, the room looks so spacious but still shows buyers that there is plenty of room left over to accommodate a larger family. The yellowish green wall color was selected by the home owner but with it’s large inventory of art work, Act Two Home Staging was able to provide a piece with just the right colors.

Living Room
In home staging, furniture is arranged around focal points. The sofa faces the fireplace, which is the focal point in this room. The wall color is neutral but the accents add pops of color to bring it to life. The floor is left bare so that the hardwood floors can be fully appreciated.

Office
What room is this? The desk defines the space as a home office.

Bedroom
It’s hard to tell what size bed will fit in a room that is shown vacant. By staging this room the buyer can see that a Queen bed fits with space to spare. It also shows the best location for the headboard.
