Glass containers work the best because you get the full effect of the color and shape of the food. While most people already have serving pieces made from glass, they are a minimal investment if you don’t. My favorite is the multi-purpose cake stand with dome lid. When reversed it can be used as a sectional serving tray with a built in bowl for dip or the inverted top can be used as a punch bowl.
Using functional containers and edible contents means no waste. It’s a good feeling to be green!
