A few years ago during a trip to Sicily I spent some time with a cousin who was a Mineralogist. He showed me his beautiful collection of mineral and gemstones. He gave me a piece of sulphur that was mined in Sicily as a remembrance of my visit. It is the same vivid shade of yellow as daffodils and forsythia. Until recently, I had it stashed away with other gifts of sentimental value. Now I use it front and center in decorative displays. Who knows, maybe I will incorporate it into the base of a gold lamp, just like this beautiful table lamp (shown above) from Horchow.com!
